Bot Terms of Service

1. About the Bot

The LMU BoP Tourism Discord bot ("the Bot") is a free, read-only utility that surfaces lap time and Balance of Performance data for Le Mans Ultimate directly inside Discord. It is operated by an individual hobbyist and is not affiliated with Studio 397, Le Mans Ultimate, Discord Inc., or any official racing organisation.

The Bot is provided as-is, without any guarantee of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

2. Eligibility

By using the Bot you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required to use Discord in your country, whichever is higher). If you are located in the European Economic Area you must be at least 16 years old. Use of the Bot is also governed by Discord's Terms of Service; you must comply with those terms at all times.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• - Automate, script, or otherwise programmatically call Bot commands in a way that places excessive load on the service.
• - Attempt to extract, scrape, or bulk-export data returned by the Bot.
• - Use the Bot in any manner that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• - Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the Bot or the underlying service.
• - Misrepresent data returned by the Bot as official BoP or race-regulation information.

4. Commands and Access Tiers

The Bot offers tiered access (free, plus, pro). Free-tier users receive a limited number of results per query. Tiers are assigned manually and may be changed or revoked at any time at our sole discretion without prior notice.

Available commands and their tier requirements may change at any time. We do not guarantee any specific command will remain available.

5. Data and Privacy

The Bot stores your Discord User ID to track your access tier. Guild IDs are stored when a server-level tier or alert channel is configured. We do not store usernames, avatars, email addresses, or message content. Full details are in the Privacy Policy, section 2.4.

6. Data Accuracy

Lap times are aggregated from third-party setup-shop sources and updated on an automated daily schedule. We make no representation that the data is accurate, current, or complete. Do not rely on it for race preparation or official competition.

7. Availability

The Bot is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime or response latency. The Bot may be taken offline for maintenance or permanently discontinued at any time without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

All lap time data displayed by the Bot originates from third-party sources and is the property of their respective owners. The Bot itself and its source code are the property of the operator. Le Mans Ultimate, Studio 397, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. This Bot is an independent fan project and no endorsement is implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Bot, including but not limited to data inaccuracies or service unavailability.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to remove the Bot from any server or restrict any user's access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. If you wish to remove the Bot from your server, you may do so through Discord's standard server settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Bot after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
